NTCO Certification - Certified EKG Technician (NT-CET)

EKG Technicians are allied health professionals responsible for performing diagnostic tests to assess the patient's heart rhythm and rate. They ensure proper electrode placement on the patient, record the EKG, prepare the report for the physician, ensure patient comfort and safety, and troubleshoot abnormalities with the recording.

As the population ages, there will be an increase in the numbers of EKG's performed and this will necessitate an increase in the number of certified EKG Technicians who can be trusted with patient care and performance of the EKG procedure. This exam will test your knowledge of the electrical activity of the heart, the lead placements, and troubleshooting problem areas common with EKG procedures.
